Communication system and infrared guidance

The two prototypes are equipped with infrared sensors and transmitters for the communication and orientation. The technique is similar to the communication controllers use to control domestic appliances such as TV, stereo video etc. Also we add a system of orientation recognition. The signal is read and computed from different angles in order to extrapolate the most powerful inputs. The actual prototype is equipped by 6 infrared receivers with analog detection compared to the first which was 4 digital receiver detection.

The data can travel to 2 meters distance without losing their integrity, but can work up to 6 meters depending on the conditions. Communication speed is adjusted to 2400 bauds and packets are validated by a conventional modular sum checksum.
